Avery*Sunshine... shows she is "Covered" in the FOG
Is the brainchild of a singer/songwriter/pianist and a multi-talented producer duo who share the common goal of making soulful music with an inspirational message. Avery*Sunshine is a musical collage of soul, gospel, house and hip hop that tells a story of love, spirituality, joy and pain. Both the writing and production for Avery's warm eclectic sound is shared mainly by this awesome pair. Together, they bring Avery*Sunshine to life.
The voice of Avery*Sunshine is that of accomplished gospel musician, Denise White. Denise lent her voice to the soundtrack of Paramount pictures THE FIGHTING TEMPTATIONS and in 2005 was hired as keyboardist for Tyler Perrys stageplay, MEET the BROWNs. Earlier this year, She was asked, along with her professional choir, to perform with award winning composer and pianist David Foster as well as So So Def recording artist Anthony Hamilton. Classically trained guitarist Dana Johnson is the man behind the tracks. Dana's early experience as a session musician at DARP (Dallas Austin Recording Project) and with rap artist Too Short, as well as many other hip hop, soul and R&B artists, is evident in his very deep and hypnotic rhythms. In addition to garnering a platinum record for contributing to Motown recording artist India.Arie's second album Voyage to India, Dana co-wrote and co-produced the song Get It Together for the 20th Century Fox movie SHARK TALES. From their yin and yang relationship spawned ...Avery*Sunshine.
